By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation released its roster of 28 high school athletes that it will take to the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational in Havana, Cuba next month.

Twenty-eight high school athletes, mostly juniors and sophomores, including national leaders Anthony Schwartz (100) and Thomas Burns (300H), will be part of the NSAF’s third cultural exchange and competition in Cuba.

The CSI is wrapped into the Barrientos Memorial meet, May 26-28.

New Balance Nationals Indoor multi champions Kyle Garland and Anna Hall will be part of decathlon and heptathlon competitions, respectively. Hall placed second in the heptathlon last weekend at the Arcadia Invitational.

The 28 athletes on the roster hail from 11 different states.
